I recently caught up with Mike Morris, the Country Manager at Teladoc Health and Best Doctors here in New Zealand. Teladoc Health provides AIA’s MyCare service (previously known as Best Doctors), which is an additional benefit available to members of the AIA Judiciary Insurance Scheme.
Since it’s been almost a year since I last shared information about MyCare in the JANZ newsletter — and with the New Year underway — I thought it was a great time to remind you all about this fantastic service and the benefits it offers to you and your family.
A recap on AIA MyCare
Best Doctors, now known as AIA MyCare, was established over 30 years ago by two Harvard medical professors. Their vision was to connect people, no matter where they live, with leading medical experts from around the world.
Today, MyCare is a global service that provides clarity, certainty, and confidence when facing a medical condition. It works by remotely connecting members with leading local and global medical specialists who can provide expert diagnosis and treatment plans.
You don’t need to be on claim to use AIA MyCare — you can access it at any time, from anywhere, as often as you need. It’s completely free, and all enquiries are confidential.
What can AIA MyCare help with?
If you or your family member experiences any mental or physical health condition — from minor concerns to major issues — you can connect with specialist doctors to:
• Conduct an in-depth medical review (for example, get a second opinion from a global expert)
• Confirm a diagnosis
• Explore treatment options (or get a second opinion on your options)
• Double-check information you’ve received from your GP or specialist
• Get quick answers to general health questions
