To the member Associations of the IAJ
Dear Colleagues,
The impact of COVID-19 has, as you know, prevented us from meeting in Costa Rica later this year as had been approved by Central Council. The Costa Rica Association has offered to host its meeting in September 2021 in place of 2020. The Israeli Delegation has, for its part, generously agreed to host in 2022 to accommodate Costa Rica hosting in 2021 rather than 2020.
The Presidency Committee is grateful to these delegations for having been so flexible in these very difficult times. Central Council will need formally to ratify the effective deferral by one year of each of the decisions taken in Kazakhstan with respect to the meetings proposed in Costa Rica and Israel.
We are pleased also at this stage to inform you that the Association of Taiwan has offered to host the meeting in 2023. The Presidency Committee is due to meet on 5 June to recommend to Central Council the deferral of the 2020 and 2021 meetings as indicated above and the holding of the meeting in Taiwan in 2023.
Thank you for your attention
Best regards
Tony Pagone
