Courts Future survey

Over the last decade, I have participated in the Court Futures survey, which asks court professionals from around the world to give their best estimate of what the future might hold for their courts. In return for completing the survey, and sometimes answering related questions, you receive the annual report prepared by Phillip Knox and Peter C. Kiefer of Phoenix, Arizona. Take a look at www.Courtleader.net. Janet Cornell’s website contains many excellent articles and has a growing following. Several thought pieces based on the Court Futures survey results are posted on Janet’s website.

They wrote to me this week saying:

"Imagine getting a glimpse into the future. Even if imperfect, such an insight could give you an advantage about what your court could be facing in the next ten years. For the last decade, the Court Futures survey has been asking court professionals from around the world to give their best estimate of what the future might hold for courts.

Today, we’re asking you to join your fellow court professionals and give your opinion about where the courts are headed. Access the link below and take the 2022 Court Futures survey. Your response combined with others can give you a glimpse into the future for courts.

And one more thing. We’re already thinking about the 2023 survey, and we want to hear from you. If you have an idea about a scenario we should run in next year’s survey, be sure to send in your ideas. Our email address is:

We look forward to hearing from you.”
