Every year the CourtFutures survey arrives and is completed. It’s a pain. But the gain is this annual research summarised by age cohorts.
This year’s report results strongly support remote participation courts as the future.
Another guided talk we had planned for Wairakei. Damn that Covid! We do still need to talk about what remote participation might mean in usual times. More importantly we need to plan much, much better for unusual times like pandemics. He says muttering VMR.

We are proud to share with you the results of the 2021 CourtFutures survey results. We are attaching the 2021 CourtFutures Top Trends to Watch: By Age Cohort, which lists the most significant trends identified from the 2021 CourtFutures survey. This year was challenging because events were unfolding at such a rapid pace. We are pleased that the survey captured so many critical challenges that courts are facing now and into the next ten years.
This is our tenth survey since 2012. It garnered over 350 responses, looked at several new scenarios, and both updated and tracked some scenarios from previous years.
