If you are invested in ASB via AMP NZRT, you would have recently received a communication from AMP along the lines of the following:
SuperLife replaces ASB Funds
Smartshares Limited previously replaced ASB Group Investments Limited (ASB) as the manager of the underlying funds that the NZRT and AMP KiwiSaver Scheme ASB-branded funds are invested in. From the 28 August 2023 Smartshares manages the underlying day-to-day investments while AMP Wealth Management New Zealand (AMP) remains the Manager of the Scheme.
What does this mean:
AMP will continue to be the Manager of the NZRT and AMP KiwiSaver Scheme.
The investment fund manager will change to Smartshares.
The underlying fund name will change.
For now, there will be no changes to how the investment will be managed.
There is nothing you need to do.
As there is no change to the investment strategy or underlying funds at this time, our Investment Advisers consider this to be a change in name only at this stage. However, if you have any questions about the fund transition from ASB to SuperLife, or if you would like to make sure that your investment strategy remains appropriate, please contact Michelle Blacktop. She can arrange for one of our financial planners from our service to the Judiciary – the Lifetime Financial Planning Service, to contact you.
Also being the annual NZRT review time, it is a good time to use the Lifetime Financial Planning Service to review your plan and make sure that your investing is keeping up with your financial goals.
