The call for JANZ delegates to our regional conference in Washington next May is still open. Fly Air New Zealand direct to New York then fast train it down to DC on Amtrak to meet with judges from around the blue Pacific, Asia and Australia. While you’re there, as I have family friends in the Senate, you can expect some very special moments and of course how wow Washington is anyway, so much to do and see. The IAWJ conference will be held over 7–9 May, 2021and the Ministry of Justice has offered to pay the registration fees for judges and judicial officers who wish to attend. Find out where to register your interest here.

Following events at the Pullman Hotel the president of the JCA wrote to me this week with the disappointing news that our planned October conference with them in Auckland had to be postponed.

After very careful consideration, the decision has been made by both the JCA and JANZ to postpone the conference, which was to be held in Auckland in early October of this year, to the same time in 2021.
